Explain why the change is needed

Teams accept change more readily when they understand its cause. Say what no longer works, what will happen if nothing changes and what you expect from the new way of working.

Involve the people affected early

Those who will carry the change know the constraints on the ground. Consulting them before finalizing the plan corrects blind spots and reduces resistance.

Move in stages

Breaking change into short stages lets you check what works and adjust. Where possible, start with a limited scope before expanding.

Track adoption, not just the launch

Launch day is not the finish line. Plan check-ins to spot difficulties, support managers and recognize progress.
