Keep a single register
Bring your contracts together in one register: counterparty, purpose, amount, start date, end date, renewal terms. A well-kept spreadsheet is enough to start.
Name an owner for each contract
Every contract needs someone who follows its execution, deliverables and deadlines. Without an owner, automatic renewals and penalties easily go unnoticed.
Make deadlines visible
Put key dates in a shared calendar, with a reminder early enough to decide whether to renew, renegotiate or end the contract.
Review supplier performance
Define a few simple criteria (timeliness, quality of deliverables, communication) and review them at regular intervals. For the interpretation of a clause, consult a lawyer.
